Frequently Asked Questions

Is QuickWebSuite Screen Recorder free?
Yes. Recording, MP4 conversion, and downloads are completely free with no trials or paid tiers.
Do I need to log in or create an account?
No. The recorder works without any sign-up. A Google account is only needed if you voluntarily use the optional “Save to Google Drive” feature.
Does the screen recorder add a watermark?
No. Nothing is overlaid on your video — the file you download is exactly what was captured on screen.
Can it record Google Meet calls?
Yes. Share the Google Meet tab with “also share tab audio” enabled and every participant is captured. See our Google Meet recording guide for step-by-step instructions.
Can it record Zoom meetings?
Yes. Join via the Zoom web client, share that tab with audio, and record without host permission or time limits. See our Zoom recording guide.
Can it record Microsoft Teams meetings?
Yes. Share the Teams browser tab with audio to capture everyone, with no admin approval required. See our Microsoft Teams recording guide.
Can I record my screen and webcam at the same time?
Yes. Turn on the Webcam option before you start, grant camera access, and your camera appears as a movable picture-in-picture bubble over the screen capture — just drag it anywhere while recording. The webcam overlay is available on desktop browsers that support screen capture.
Can it record my microphone audio?
Yes. Enable the Microphone option before starting and your voice is mixed into the recording alongside any other audio.
Can it record system or tab audio?
Yes. In Chrome and Edge, sharing a browser tab with the audio checkbox captures everything that tab plays — ideal for meeting calls. System-wide desktop audio depends on your operating system’s loopback support.
Are recordings uploaded to a server?
No. Video is captured, encoded, and saved by your own browser. The only exception is if you explicitly click the optional Google Drive upload button.
Is there a recording duration limit?
No hard limit. Record for as long as your available memory and disk allow — from quick clips to multi-hour meetings.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome and Edge on desktop offer the best experience, including tab-audio capture. Firefox and Safari can capture screen and microphone but do not support tab audio sharing.
